Some of our farms have begun ‘pipe-throwing’, which refers to the task of laying out irrigation pipes along head ditches. These pipes will later be used to water the cotton crop once irrigation commences.

This time last year, our employees were completing these very tasks, meaning our 2025/2026 schedule is on-track!

Cotton farms can have quite a predictable schedule. Shear Power is able to reflect this schedule in our recruitment periods and estimate when workers will be needed. Over the past 2 months, our admin team have been preparing our applicants for available positions, and these positions having been filling up quickly!
