Most of our farms do supply accommodation - some free and some for a small weekly cost. Due to limited spaces though, it is not always guaranteed that accommodation will be provided, and spots do fill up quickly.

Employment with Shear Power Contracting Pty Ltd is classed as rural farm work and is carried out in a regional part of Australia. This means it does count towards 2nd and 3rd year visa applications. So, if you’re in need of your 88 days, apply for a job with Shear Power Contracting now!

Where you will be based can vary depending on the client whom you will be working for. Some employees are based in towns close to the farm and are required to travel to and from the farm daily, and some farms do supply accommodation on-site. The main towns closest to our farms include: Goondiwindi, Talwood, Boomi and Mungindi, but we do occasionally service some other smaller towns in the area. Accommodation facilities do factor into where you would be based.

The main source of transportation to work is via motor vehicle, whether it be via car, ute, campervan etc. If you do not have a car (in some cases) it is possible for you to commute to work with others, but we do prefer workers to each have their own vehicles as it makes things much easier.

Where you will buy your daily needs does depend on where you are working and based, but can all be sourced and purchased in Goondiwindi.
