This week, many our employees have completed the task of ‘pipe-throwing’ to further prepare for irrigation. ‘Pipe-throwing’ refers to the task of laying out irrigation pipes along head ditches, which will be used to water the cotton once irrigation commences; by using a siphoning technique.

Soon, a ‘pre-water’ (or ‘pre-irrigation’) will be completed to ensure moisture in the soil is adequate and will therefore optimise the quality of the crop.
