Our irrigation season has officially come to an end! Another successful season and we thank all of our casual farmhands that have been involved.

Our employees are spending the next couple of weeks picking up syphon pipes and putting them back in storage; ready for next year.

Over the next 4-5 weeks, farms will carry out defoliation, a process of which a defoliant is applied to the maturing cotton to help speed up and finalise maturation. The leaves on the cotton plant will dry and fall off and any remaining unopened cotton bolls will open, ready for picking!
