Since our irrigation season has finished and cotton harvest has begun, many of our workers have moved on to their next adventures, while Shear Power Contracting enters a quieter period before ground preparation begins.

During these quieter periods on our cotton farms, it gives us the opportunity to catch up on smaller jobs across other farms. There are always important tasks to be done that support the natural rhythm of agriculture and help set up for the next busy season.

We currently have some of our farm hands completing stick picking, an essential job that helps clear paddocks following harvest. This ensures safer conditions for machinery, protects equipment from damage, and prepares fields for upcoming ground preparation work.
