Shear Power Contracting’s 2025/2026 Cotton Irrigation Season has come to an end, marking the close of another busy and rewarding chapter.

This season demanded flexibility, hard work, and resilience from the entire team. We definitely experienced a range of challenges including intense heat, sudden rain, and even some cold snaps. Despite these hurdles, the season has been a success!

A sincere thank you goes out to all of our past and present farm hands who played a role throughout the season. Your dedication, long hours, and commitment have been essential in keeping operations running smoothly and ensuring the crop received the care it needed. Every member of the team has contributed to the success of this season, and we are incredibly grateful for the effort and responsibility shown along the way.

It’s a rewarding sight across our farms now. After months of planning, irrigation, and crop management, the fields provide a vibrant view of ‘white gold’ (cotton) as pickers start to make their way though.

Harvest has begun, and we look forward to seeing the results of everyone’s hard work and are already looking forward to next years irrigation season!
